Тhe Sadrist movement is discussing with the Russian ambassador three files

The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, and the Russian ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, discussed three files. 

The political body said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, received the Russian ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, at the authority's headquarters in the capital, Baghdad." 

Al-Mutairi welcomed this visit to the headquarters of the Political Commission, reviewing the frameworks of the relationship between Iraq and the Russian Federation and ways to strengthen them in line with the aspirations and interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries.  

They exchanged talks about all local and international issues and situations, and the challenges the region is going through that require strengthening efforts to provide a safe and stable environment that guarantees a decent life and a prosperous economy. 

For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed his pride in visiting the Sadrist movement's political body and meeting its head Ahmed Al-Mutairi, stressing "his country's interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination in all fields."
