MOC coordinates with companies to group tourists from four countries 

The Tourism and Antiquities Authority in the Ministry of Culture revealed today, Thursday, its measures to revitalize the tourism sector, while indicating its coordination with companies to group tourists from four countries. 

The head of the authority, Dhafer Mahdi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Recently, Iraq witnessed, after the Corona pandemic subsided, the start of tourist groups and approvals to enter easier than before, in addition to a large religious tourism movement on religious occasions as well as events or archaeological tourists." ". 

He added, "The National Office of the Tourism Authority has promoted more than one group of archaeological tourism to the archaeological region of Ur and Babylon, and the old city of Baghdad as well, and this is due to the security stability in the country and the procedures for granting visas by the Ministry of the Interior, as well as the fading and low rates of infection in the Corona pandemic.". 

He continued, "There is a good impression for the European tourist groups, with what they see of the stability and safety in the country, as well as the archaeological areas and the abundant history of this country through the existing excitement." 

He explained, "There is cooperation and coordination with some tourism companies to promote tourist groups, whether religious or other, from the United Kingdom, Federal Germany, Italy and the United States of America."
