Hussein al-Hindawi Prime Minister’s electoral adviser confirmed Friday that a large number of voters were voting in the special vote, while noting that international observers praised the electoral process.
"The special voting process is continuing amid a large influx of people involved," al-Hindawi told The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"International observers have expressed admiration for the organization at polling stations," he said.
Earlier Friday, Al-Hindawi said the presence of international observers had given confidence in the seriousness of the electoral process.
"The special voting process is proceeding in an orderly manner and as planned," al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Everything is organized within the centers, and international observers are at the polling stations, which has given confidence in the seriousness of the electoral process," he said.
