The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed today, Friday, that the electoral process for special voting is proceeding fair and smoothly, affirming that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is following up the progress of its procedure.
Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "There is a large turnout and influx of members of the security forces to the polling stations to cast their votes."
Rasool added, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, is directly following the special voting process," noting that "there are Ops centers at the Joint Operations Command and the Baghdad Operations Command, that inform the Prime Minister with all the details."
