The Presidency of Parliament announced on Wednesday, that there is no need for a session to dissolve parliament.
"There is no need to hold a session to dissolve the Parliament," Second Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Bashir al-Haddad told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The Parliament voted on March 31 to dissolve itself on October 7th," al-Haddad said, adding that "the resolution will come into effect tomorrow, October 7th."
Earlier, the Parliament voted to dissolve itself on October 7, in preparation for elections on the 10th of the same month.
