The head of the National Security Service, Abdul Ghani Al-Asadi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the terrorist Daesh will not be allowed to return again or tamper with the security of the country.
"Al-Asadi discussed, during his visit to Kirkuk province and his meeting with the governor and security commanders there, the latest security developments and ways to address them through the coordination of the security and intelligence efforts,” said the media office of NSS in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency.
During the visit to Kirkuk, Al-Asadi emphasized the need to closely monitoring the latest preparations for securing the electoral centers and cooperating in various fields for the success of the elections, pointing out that “All efforts must be combined to provide a safe environment for holding the elections, as the security breaches are desperate attempts by ISIS gangs to prove their presence in the media.”
Al-Asadi affirmed that “There are an extensive ongoing security operations to pursue the terrorist remnants of ISIS, which have resulted in the killing and arresting a number of them.”
