The Counter-Terrorism Service Captures 8 Terrorists in Anbar and Baghdad

The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced on Wednesday, the arrest of 8 terrorists in Anbar and Baghdad provinces.

CTS said in statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The forces of the Counter-Terrorism Service were able to arrest (8) terrorists in different areas in accordance of an accurate intelligence information."

The statement added, "The arrests began in the capital, Baghdad, particularly in Tarmiyah and Radwaniyah districts, as the operation resulted in the arrest of 4 terrorists", affirming that another operation were carried out in Anbar province within the districts of Fallujah, Heet and Karma, which resulted in the arrest of 4 terrorists.

"The forces of CTS are the spearhead in confronting terrorist groups and extremist ideologies, as CTS members are loyal to the people and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces”, the statement confirmed.
