The Directorate of Labor and Social Affairs in Maysan province announced, on Wednesday, issuing a judicial decision to fine one of the operating oil companies with an amount of more than one billion dinars, for breaching the Labor and Social Security Law.
The Director of the Department of Labor and Social Affairs in Maysan, Fadel Mutashar, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Labor Court in the province issued a judicial decision fining one of the oil companies with an amount of one billion and one hundred and forty-four million Iraqi dinars for violating the Labor and Social Security Law."
He added that "The violations resulted from company's failure to pay the dues of its employees deducted for social security, and dismissal some of Iraqi workers without paying their financial dues.”
