Ministry of Labor announced on Monday, its readiness to transfer experience in the field of soft projects and loans to the Palestinian side, while Palestinian Labor Minister Nasri Abu Jaish expressed his desire to sign a memorandum of understanding with Iraq in several fields.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi met his Palestinian counterpart Nasri Abu Jaish on Monday, on the sidelines of the 47th session of the Arab Labor Conference. The Palestinian minister submitted an official invitation to Minister Al-Rikabi to visit his country, according to the Ministry of Labor statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
They discussed the meeting to be held with the International Labor Organization for donor countries for Palestine, where Palestine expressed its desire to provide support by the Republic of Iraq during the meeting of donor countries, as the ministry noted that "the possibility of providing support to enhance the steadfastness of Palestinian workers against the brutal occupation policies was discussed as well,"
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Raed Jabbar Bahed, affirmed the ministry's readiness to transfer Iraq's experience in the field of business incubators, small projects and soft loans to the Palestinian side, as well as providing them with mechanisms to activate the retirement and social security law for workers.
The statement included that the Palestinian minister expressed his desire to sign a memorandum of understanding with Iraq in these areas.
