Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi issued on Monday, a new directive regarding the Dam of Mosul, while stressing the importance of the Dam and the need to carry out maintenance operations.
A statement issued by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that on Monday morning, Prime Minster Al-Kadhimi inspected the Mosul Dam and the building project of the dam management, reviewed the dam's work, and met its working staff.
The project manager of Mosul Dam gave a detailed review of the dam and its importance, as well as the achieved work to maintain it, as the grout injection work was also inspected from the top of the dam, The statement added.
Al-Kadhimi stressed, according to the statement, the importance of the Mosul Dam, and the need to carry out continuous maintenance operations by the staff working there, and to monitor the required grout injection operations.
The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, arrived in Nineveh province this morning, at the head of a government delegation, which included members of the Council of Ministers; To inspect the situation in the province, and hold a session of the Council of Ministers to take a number of decisions regarding the province.
