The National Security Advisory held a meeting headed by National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji to discuss securing Iraq's water quotas, in coordination with the regional neighbors.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the meeting attended by representatives of the security and intelligence agencies, the ministries of water resources and trade, and the Border Ports Authority, noting that the meeting discussed ways to secure and maintain Iraq's water quotas in coordination with the regional neighboring countries, as well as follow-up joint security coordination with those countries to secure the borders and prevent the infiltration of terrorists into Iraqi territory.
The statement added that the participants reviewed in the meeting a number of challenges facing the security and water files with the neighboring countries, as well as proposing solutions for these important files.
