Head of the national football team delegation, Ahmed Kojer, confirmed that the Dutch coach, Dick Advocaat, made a good impression on the players, and there is a clear increase in the harmony between the coach and the players inside the camp in Spain.
"The coach's impression of the players is good inside the camp with each training unit," said Kojer in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Wednesday.
He noted that the coach “works with high professionalism and has knowledge of all the players in addition to the information provided by the assistant technical staff about the nature of the national team,”
"Advocaat confirmed the recovery exercises and intensively leveled up the fitness side of the players due to the short preparation period that precedes the first match in the qualifiers," he added, pointing out that "the list will recall new names at a later time to complete the team before Korea match,”
Kojer added that "the squad did not witness the exclusion of any player by the technical staff, and the camp atmosphere is ideal, and everyone is working in full swing to reach the required readiness before entering the midst of the decisive stage,"
The delegation is working to provide two friendly matches during the next two days with Spanish teams “to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the team by the technical staff,” he explained.
