Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed today, Thursday, Iraq's desire to open the doors for investment to Spanish companies.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Kadhimi received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq, Juan Jose Escobar, on the occasion of the end of his work duties, and during the meeting he praised the level of Iraqi-Spanish relations, and the efforts of the ambassador during his tenure."
Al-Kadhimi indicated, according to the statement, that "Iraq is looking forward to more cooperation with Spain and the rest of the European Union member states in the fields of security, economy and investment," expressing "Iraq's desire to open the doors for Spanish companies to participate and invest in the Iraqi economy, especially in the management sector. Hospitals and training their staff.
For his part, the Spanish ambassador affirmed, "The government of his country looks forward to further strengthening the bonds of cooperation and bilateral relations with Iraq, and its support for the Iraqi efforts in the field of combating terrorism, and working to support the stability of the region and the consolidation of calm, and sustainable development in it."
