Al-Kadhimi arrives in Washington

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi arrived, today, Sunday, in the American capital, Washington, on an official visit.
Al-Iraqiya news correspondent said that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi arrived in the American capital, Washington, on the eve of his upcoming meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House tomorrow, Monday.

The Prime Minister is heading a high-level delegation, which includes the ministers of foreign affairs, defense, oil, trade and culture. The prime minister's schedule includes meetings with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

It is expected that a final statement on the meetings of the fourth round of the strategic dialogue will be issued on Monday, which may include a timetable for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq at the end of this year. 

The capital, Washington, witnessed intensive security measures, and the Iraqi and American flags were raised in various parts of the capital to welcome the Prime Minister.
