INA - Baghdad PM Haider Abadi asserted that the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) must not be politicized and the stories of sacrifices given by them and the security forces must be written and stored. This came during his visit to PMU body as he met highly ranked officers. Abadi forwarded his regards in the occasion of Eid al-Adha to all the heroes of the PMU and security forces. Abadi also praised the sacrifices given by them and their families as well. They have dedicated their life for the sake of the country. "In every international conference and everywhere we acknowledge that PMU is an association that follows the state and the PM and we stood together against the enemies," Abadi said during his visit. He explained that extracting the PMU from major provinces must not be under any political pressure. "We did defeat Daesh terrorist groups but they have their men in between and we should keep fighting the ideologies it adopts. Hence, clearing the area all of the sudden will give a chance to these terrorist groups to assault against the citizens," he added. PM also asserted that the constitution and the law hinder the idea of mixing between security, military, intelligence and political. "We refuse any political parties inside the PMU as we also refuse using the sacrifices for the sake of any party," Abadi said concluding his statement.
