Al-Halbousi discuss enhancing the bilateral cooperation with the Russian ambassador

The Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi discussed today, Sunday, with Russian Ambassador Elbrus Kutrashev ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries .

And the media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi, received the new ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev."

The statement indicated, "The Speaker of the House of Representatives, at the beginning of the meeting, congratulated Ambassador Elbrus on the occasion of assuming his new duties, wishing him success.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, enhancing means of cooperation in the economic, security and counter-terrorism fields, as well as a number of topics of common interest." .

For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed "his country's support and keenness to develop relations and cooperation with Iraq in all fields."
