The Security Media Cell announced, today, Sunday, the launch of a large-scale security operation east Tuz Khurmatu.
S.M.C said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "At 5.00 am, a large joint security operation was launched between the Counter-Terrorism Service and the Peshmerga forces east Tuz Khurmatu," noting that "the operation was preceded by 5 air strikes by F16 aircraft, on targets in areas of common security interest.
S.M.C also added, "The operation was followed by an airdrop to inspect these areas'.
