Baghdad-INA
The Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee confirmed, today, Thursday, that raising the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar came to operate factories and provide job opportunities.
Committee member Mazen Al-Faily said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The committee always recommends that the government take care of the ration card and distribute it on time and increase its items," noting that "the government has not implemented our recommendations or our calls and we hear only statements from them, and there is a second share." But practically there is nothing on the ground. "
He pointed out that "the committee recommended the need to pay attention to the ration card and increase allocations for social protection," explaining that "this is not a radical solution rather, these are quick solutions."
He explained that "the increase in the exchange rate was intended to operate factories, develop the private economy, develop agriculture and investment, in various fields, and invest in the services sector; transportation and ports, to provide job opportunities and improve the economic reality," stressing the need for the government to advance the economic and development reality instead of relying on distributing Aid.
