The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yahya Rasul, announced today, Monday, that the anti-terrorist forces have launched a qualitative operation in the Hammam Al-Alil area, southeast of the city of Mosul, while noting that the operation led to the killing of 8 ISIS terrorist elements and the discovery of weapons and charges.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Rasul said, "According to the directive of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and through careful follow-up and monitoring of the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, the units of the Counter-Terrorism Service began a qualitative operation in the Hammam Al-Alil area, southeast of the city of Mosul."
He added, "Our brave men have embarked on their heroic operation by tightening the cordon at the entrances and exits of the dens in which the elements of ISIS gangs hide by using a ring of fire of chock weapons," indicating that "
He continued, "The F-16 planes, under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, meticulously bombed the sites of terrorist gangs sent through the coordinates of the Counter-Terrorism Service, after which (8) ISIS remnants were killed, who were carrying out cowardly terrorist attacks on the military wheels' tracks and points of connection of our security forces." , Pointing out that "a number of ammunition, weapons, belts, explosive devices and a large number of communications devices were found inside these terrorist dens, many of which were destroyed as a result of heavy rocks falling as a result of the aircraft bombing ."
