First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Al-Kaabi and National Security Adviser Mr. Qassem Al-Araji discussed, today, Thursday, the latest developments in the strategic agreement with Washington, while it was stressed that the withdrawal of foreign forces must be scheduled.
Al-Kaabi’s office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi received, in his office today, the National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji,” indicating that “developments in the security situation and efforts to combat terrorism and prosecute the remnants of ISIS were discussed. And the latest developments in the strategic agreement with Washington. "
The office added, "Al-Kaabi praised the great security efforts in the file of securing the borders and the continuation of air strikes directed against ISIS terrorist hideouts," noting that "the latest developments on the subject of the strategic agreement with Washington were discussed and the need to support the technical committees formed in the Iraqi government."
Especially from our heroic security apparatus and stressing the necessity of scheduling the withdrawal of foreign forces in a way that would help the Iraqi security forces to hold the reins and achieve security and stability throughout the country.
