The Election Commission confirmed today, Thursday, that it granted 250 political parties a license to establish, while announcing its readiness to hold a conference with political parties and entities.
A statement issued by the Commission, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the commission continues the process of registering political parties and organizations, as establishment licenses have been granted to (250) political parties, and the number of registration requests for parties that are under establishment has reached about (65) requests. While the number of parties' requests that expressed their desire to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections reached (110) parties and (8) coalitions expressed their desire to participate in the upcoming elections out of (30) approved political coalitions, and (11) coalitions are under registration. , Indicating that “the number of individual candidates reached (288) candidates, including (5) candidates from the Yazidi component, (5) others from the Sabian Mandaean component, and (7) candidates from the Faili Kurdish component, including (49) One candidate from political parties, and (4) candidates from political alliances.
He added, "The Board of Commissioners approved the technical specifications of the forms and insensitive publications for polling stations and their stations for public and private polling that cannot be used to influence the elections within the framework of the preparations for polling day on 10/10/2021," stressing, "The commission is preparing to hold a conference. With political parties and entities, next Tuesday, April 13 at 11 am, at the Federal Court hall in Baghdad, as there will be several axes, one for individual candidates, a second for parties, and a third axis related to public and private voting procedures.
