the parliamentary work Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Immigration and Displacement in the House of Representatives, today, Tuesday called on to increase allocations for families that are below the poverty line.
Committee member Fadel Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The committee called in the past two days to increase allocations for families that are below the poverty line," noting that "the economic situation is affected by the increase in the exchange rate and the Corona pandemic."
Al-Fatlawi added that "the social protection network and those below the poverty line are at the forefront of the affected segments," noting that "the committee refuses to prejudice the allocations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, similar to the demands that refuse to prejudice contracts, wages, lecturers, and those whose contracts have been canceled by the Popular Mobilization Forces."
