Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the French ambassador to Iraq, Brno Aubert discussed on Monday, the work of French companies in Iraq and cooperation in the field of investment.
During the meeting, they discussed the entirety of the Iraqi-French relations and ways to develop it. The French ambassador also conveyed the French government's greetings and appreciation to Iraq and the keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in every aspect, according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
They also discussed the frameworks of French companies' work in Iraq and the importance of enhancing cooperation in the field of investment for the benefit of the two friendly countries.
"The meeting witnessed a review of the regional situation, an exchange of views between the two sides, and an emphasis on the common vision to solve the region’s issues and crises, as well as the importance of giving priority to the language of dialogue to find sustainable solutions and development, and the pivotal role that Iraq could play in calming and stabilizing the region," included the statement.
