The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that the victims of the train’s collision in the Tahta district - Sohag Governorate, have risen to 32 deaths, and 108 others were injured.
The official spokesperson for the ministry of Health Dr. Khaled Mujahid, stated that ambulances had been increased to 74, indicating that the deaths and injured cases had been transferred to the hospitals.
Mujahid added that the injured receive the necessary treatment and medical care in hospitals, as the degree of preparedness was raised to the utmost level in all hospitals in the governorates (Sohag, Assiut, Luxor, and Qena).
