The Ministry of Planning set a date for raising recommendations for changing the currency rate of projects, indicating that the state seeks not to harm any party from the decision to raise the price of the dollar.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry Maher Hammoud told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The state seeks not to harm any party from the decision of the high exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, especially private sector projects."
He added that "there are bodies that require the government for old money and others that have businesses that have not entered into force, or who have a bond or import credit and others, and all of these must be taken into consideration by the state, given that it changed the exchange rate."
He pointed out that "the committee to address the consequences of the high price of the dollar on projects will announce the results of its recommendations next Thursday," stressing that "the recommendations will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval."
