The German Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases announced that the cases of Coronavirus in the country are increasing dramatically, and 226 deaths and 17,482 new infections have been recorded during the past 24 hours.Lars Schad, vice president of the German Institute, asked citizens not to travel during the Easter holidays to contain the number of cases.
He said there was a risk that Germany could be in a similar situation by Easter as it was on Christmas.
For his part, German Health Minister Jens Young warned that Europe suffers from a shortage of vaccines to stop the third wave of Corona.
The total deaths since the start of the pandemic a year ago reached 74,358, while the total number of injuries reached two million and 629750.
