Erbil - INA
The Kurdish plastic artist Jru Nuri confirmed that the multiplicity of plastic schools and the introduction of technology in the field of art created large areas for the work of the plastic artist.
Nuri indicated in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that she "chose a method and style of her own in her artistic work," stressing that "the art (collage) that she is currently working on is an artistic technique based on assembling different forms to form a new artistic work."
She pointed out that "the art of collage is inspired by an ancient Sumerian art. It was used to decorate homes and buildings, as they used to use mosaics in that era, and after its development, this art entered into decorating homes."
She added that "the introduction of technology into plastic art included the materials used in this art," indicating that she "began working with magazine and newspaper papers to embody the colors of reality using these materials only, but with their own touches."
