Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed, on Friday, the necessity for countries possessing nuclear arsenals to dismantle them as soon as possible, describing this type of weapon as not creating security for their owners.
In a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Zarif said, "Iran's nuclear measures do not mean any attempt to acquire a nuclear weapon, but ideologically and strategically refuses to possess any kind of weapons of mass destruction."
He added: Tehran does not consider nuclear arsenals as a source that enhances security in the world and believes in the necessity of dismantling them as soon as possible.
