Salih and Halbousi stress the need to provide the requirements for holding the elections

The Presidents of the Republic, Barham Salih and the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, stressed today, Thursday, the necessity of providing the requirements for holding the elections and ensuring their integrity.

The media office of the president of the republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Salih received in the Peace Palace in Baghdad, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi to discuss the overall political, security and economic developments in the country."

The statement added that "the meeting dealt with the upcoming elections, and the necessity of creating the appropriate conditions and the necessary requirements to organize the upcoming elections in a manner that guarantees their integrity, and to achieve the will of the voters in choosing their representatives away from fraud and manipulation."
