The Ministry of Industry confirmed that there is a tendency to increase the number of products and meet the needs of the local market, while indicating that three factories will open in the coming days.
The scientific advisor in the ministry, Ammar al-Janabi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday: "The ministry has developed a plan and formed a working group to study the market and find the appropriate opportunity for the local industry to prove its worth and fill the needs of the consumer.
He pointed out that "imposing customs tariffs on imported goods, imposing taxes, and increasing the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar are all factors that allow our products to compete strongly in the markets, and to be in competition with the foreign product in quality and packaging."
