Baghdad decorated with Christmas trees to celebrate the New Year holidays

A statement by Baghdad Municipality, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, “The Mayor of Baghdad congratulated the members of the Christian community in Iraq and the world on the occasion of the Glorious Christmas and the New Year’s Day, and instructed all municipal departments to prepare decorative bulletins and erect Christmas trees in a number of streets and intersections to participate  Citizens celebrate this occasion. " 

 He added, "Municipal departments have started erecting Christmas trees and decorative flyers, and are keen to create all opportunities for Baghdadi families to celebrate this occasion while adhering to the directives of the Crisis Cell regarding the health aspect and preventing citizens' gatherings."
