Minister of Labor and Social Affairs – MOLSA Adel Al-Rikabi and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Shariatmadari discussed the possibility of mutual cooperation in social and labor issues, including signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries in this regard.
Al-Rikabi presented during the electronic meeting on Wednesday, an explanation of the work and tasks of the social protection and social security funds and the small projects fund in addition to means of investing it, according to a statement by the media office of MOLSA that Iraqi News Agency (INA) received.
Iran’s Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare forwarded Al-Rikabi an official invitation to visit his country.
A number of files related to social and labor issues were discussed, including signing a memorandum of understanding between the two sides after being studied by the relevant committees.
"The historical relationship between Iraq and Iran is witnessing development in all fields," Al-Rikabi said, adding "COVID-19 should not be an obstacle to direct communication between the two,"
