The Ministry of Electricity confirmed that new stations will enter the national system soon, while it revealed the reasons for the decline in electricity supply.
The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Musa, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The ministry has sent invitations to some international companies on the subject of electronic collection,” pointing out that “the ministry is working to study those commercial and technical offers submitted for referral, and that the government directives issued to the Ministry of Electricity to proceed with the electronic collection project, and perhaps you will proceed with this project next year. "
Moussa explained that "the national system lost 6000 megawatts because of the reduction in the supply of Iranian gas, which negatively affected the hours of electricity supply," noting that "many obstetric units that have entered under periodic and emergency maintenance at this time of the year in order to prepare for the reception of the summer season because there is an increase on demand ".
