The Ministry of Health and Environment expected to sign an agreement with the Pfizer company for the Corona vaccine in the coming days, while indicating that the vaccine will arrive in Iraq in the second quarter of next year
The Director General of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Riyad Abdul-Amir Al-Halfi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Ministry of Health has reached advanced stages of negotiations with the American Pfizer Company, and it is possible that in the coming days an agreement will be expected with them to supply Iraq with a quantity of vaccine During the second quarter of next year. "
Al-Halfi added that "the ministry continues with the rest of the companies, but there is a requirement to sign with it that it depends on its international accreditation," pointing out that "the Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the British Medicines Agency and the US Food and Drug Administration."
