The Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee recommended the need to reduce the number of foreign workers coming to Iraq to provide job opportunities for the unemployed, while stressing the importance of putting an end to the waste of public money.
A member of the committee, MP Fadel Al-Fatlawi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday: The file of unemployed youth does not belong to the Ministry of Labor alone, but rather in other ministries, including industry and minerals, as there are dozens of factories and laboratories still idle.
He added that the Ministry of Labor has a vision and a will to employ the unemployed, pointing out that the labor law will provide job opportunities for citizens with the participation of multiple ministries, as Iraq is an open market.
He stressed the need to limit foreign workers that invade oil companies and other sectors, indicating that the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee will host the Minister of Interior to reduce the number of foreign workers in order to provide job opportunities for the unemployed.
