The Ministry of Culture today, Thursday, presented a set of proposals for the centenary of establishing the Iraqi state, while Minister Hassan Nadhim directed their implementation.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, presided over an extraordinary virtual meeting through the application of (Zoom) with the advanced staff in the ministry to discuss special preparations for the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Iraqi state," indicating that "the meeting came According to Diwani Order No. (72) Regarding the establishment of a special committee charged with preparing for the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Iraqi state, which was issued by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.
The minister stressed at the beginning of the meeting that "the most important thing is not the celebration only, as a goal pursued by the ministry, but rather there is what can be called an intellectual goal that seeks to spread awareness in society, to know the meaning of this occasion." He is interested in the general ceremonial aspect, and the second works according to a system of intellectual awareness that seeks to consecrate this event and establish it in the collective memory of the masses.
