Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed today, Tuesday, that the idea of a national dialogue can contribute to solving all crises between the federal government and the region.
Al- Kadhimi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " I extend my condolences to the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation on the memory of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him, and it is a memory that is present in the conscience of all believers."
He added, "Some people tried yesterday, in a miserable attempt, to create discord among the Iraqis, by throwing a grenade at the Imams Bridge, the bridge that carries a high symbolism of Iraqi brotherhood and coexistence, the symbolism of Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Adhamiya."
Al-Kadhimi affirmed that he “went yesterday to the Imams Bridge and personally saw the size of brotherhood, familiarity and social integration,” indicating that “the residents of Adhamiya were rejecting this work,” indicating that he “saw how the visitors dealt with the great hospitality of the people of Adhamiya, and they held the responsibility for the accident on the parties that did not want good for Iraq, it was an attempt to create a strife, but the people were alert and able to cross and overcome this sedition. "
Al-Kadhimi noted, "the launch of the principle of national dialogue yesterday after the conclusion of the visit of His Holiness the Pope to Iraq, and the extent of the joy that the Iraqis experienced and the extent of optimism about the present and future role of Iraq, indicating that" the idea of a national dialogue was presented to all Iraqis, including political forces, social activities, civil society, and protesters. And opponents of the government, stressing readiness to sit at the dialogue table for the sake of the future of Iraq.
Al-Kadhimi continued: "I hope from all the ministers that we will stop at what we have accomplished over the past seven months, what we have succeeded in and what needs more hard work."
