Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received today, Tuesday, a copy of the credentials of Denmark's new ambassador to Iraq, Stig Paolo Pires.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "the two sides discussed during their meeting ways to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing cooperation opportunities at various levels to meet the aspirations of the two peoples."
The statement added, "The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of opening wider horizons for constructive cooperation," stressing that "Iraq's strategy in its balanced relations stems from taking into account common interests with world countries in a way that serves progress and prosperity for our people and friendly peoples."
