The Popular Mobilization Authority announced, today, Thursday, the overthrow of the general structure of the so-called Prisoner Release Authority of ISIS terrorist gangs.
The Authority said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In a complex and major security operation, the General Directorate of Security and Discipline / Directorate of Investigations and Preventive Security in the Popular Mobilization Authority, was able to overthrow the general structure of what is known as (the Prisoner Release Authority) affiliated with ISIS inside prisons."
It added, "This achievement came after accurate intelligence follow-up and strict field efforts, as the organization's systems were penetrated and its plans aimed at destabilizing security were thwarted."
It continued, "This operation confirms the high readiness of our blessed crowd in confronting terrorist threats, and striking the dens of extremism with an iron fist, in order to preserve the security and stability of the homeland."
The Authority also added, "This was not just a security operation, but a message:
• Terrorism has no future.
• There is no safety for those who plan chaos.
• There is no return for those who dream of bringing back destruction."
