Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed today, Saturday, the failure of the enemy's goal of eliminating and crushing the resistance, noting that what the enemy has achieved is to hurt us by killing our leaders.
Sheikh Qassem said in a speech - followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "It is out of the question for us to surrender or be humiliated, and this cannot happen with the resistance of Hezbollah.".
He added, "The aggression is the problem, not the resistance," explaining, "The mujahideen prevented the occupation forces from advancing towards our lands, and the enemy realized that the horizon of resistance to Hezbollah was blocked, so it went to a ceasefire.".
Regarding the Syrian issue, Sheikh Naim Qassem said: "We hope that the choice of the new government in Syria will be based on the interests of the two countries and the participation of all parties and forces in the government.".
He added, "The Syrian people have the right to choose their government and constitution."
