Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, today, Thursday, the importance of Arab coordination in supporting the unity, integrity and sovereignty of Syrian territory and preserving civil peace.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held telephone talks with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, focusing on developments in the region and the repercussions of events on the Syrian scene.".
The two sides stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of Arab coordination in supporting the unity, integrity and sovereignty of Syrian territory, preserving civil peace, in addition to respecting the free choices of Syrians, and continuing joint work to achieve security and stability.".
The statement added that "the call witnessed an emphasis on continuing consultations on developments in the region, and also addressed bilateral relations and ways to consolidate cooperation to achieve the interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries."
