US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed, today, Thursday, that a deal regarding Gaza is close to being reached.
"We are working to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that would allow for the release of hostages and the entry of humanitarian aid," Sullivan said in a press statement, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"We are close to concluding such a deal and we will continue to work to reach it quickly," he added, noting that "reaching an agreement in Gaza has become urgent.".
He stressed, "I will go to Doha and Cairo to fill the final gaps regarding the deal."
