The work of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers was launched in the capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday, within the 61st session.
Deputy Prime Minister and Egyptian Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said during the launch of the work of the Executive Office, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We thank the Iraqi Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, and I express my happiness to open this 61st session of the Arab Ministers of Health, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi for the warm reception and good organization of the work of the 61st session," stressing "the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries, whose roots extend to the depths of history, as the two countries were the cradle of human civilizations in all their eras, and the two countries witnessed cultural and commercial interaction between their civilizations.”
"The Arab Republic of Egypt reiterates its call to all Arab countries to unify efforts to stand by those countries that are witnessing health and humanitarian crises that affect their peoples and health systems," he pointed out that "the systematic Israeli aggression that the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples are being subjected to, which violates all international and humanitarian norms which prompts us to join together for coordination and joint cooperation to continue providing all forms of support and assistance to the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in their current crises, as well as the need to agree on the medical and health requirements of the Syrian people at the present time."
He pointed out "the importance of including it among the priorities, as this is a great value that must be utilized to build capacities in Arab health systems, in addition to what has been achieved regarding the establishment of the Arab Drug Agency, which we agreed would be a great edifice for all of us, bringing together all valuable Arab expertise and elites in the field of medicine, in addition to the proposed Arab strategies to improve the health of mothers and children, as well as the digital transformation of health services, which are now the most important elements that help achieve comprehensive health planning, in addition to the Fourth Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance, which we thank the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting and making it a success."
