Iraq condemns Zionist entity's seizure of buffer zone with Syria

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MOFA expressed on Monday its condemnation of the Zionist entity's seizure of the buffer zone with the Syrian Arab Republic.

"MOFA expresses its condemnation in the strongest terms of the Zionist entity's seizure of the buffer zone with the Syrian Arab Republic in the Golan and the adjacent territories. This action represents a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions," said MOFA in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The ministry stressed "the importance of respecting Syria's sovereignty, preserving its stability, unity and territorial integrity, and the necessity of refraining from any interference in its internal affairs," calling on "the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in condemning this blatant aggression and taking the necessary measures to put an end to these violations that exploit the current situation that the Syrian Arab Republic is going through."
