According to a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "a force from the Iraq National Security Service INSS, in a qualitative operation in Anbar province, was able to raid one of the terrorist hideouts and eliminate its members who were hiding in the house."
"The operation was part of ongoing efforts to purge Iraqi territory of its evils and pursue the remnants of terrorist gangs," INSS stated.
"Although we are pleased with the security accomplishment, we deeply regret the loss of two of our brave officers in this operation following the armed conflict with the wanted men," the statement said, emphasizing that "their sacrifices will remain inspiring security generations to protect Iraq and its people."
