Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari issued on Monday, during his visit to the Iraqi-Syrian border strip, a set of important recommendations to support security and intelligence work.
"Al-Shammari is present on the Iraqi-Syrian border strip for the second day in a row, where he inspected the security units deployed in the area, and was briefed on plans for security deployment, and held a meeting at the headquarters of the Ninth Brigade in the second region within the border forces command in Anbar province," said a statement issued by the media office of the Minister of Interior, obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement added that "the minister was briefed on the most important duties carried out by the security forces to enhance the security of the border strip, and issued a number of recommendations that contribute to strengthening security and intelligence work."
