Pezeshkian: The necessity of preserving the unity and sovereignty of Syria

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, stressed on Sunday the necessity of preserving the unity and sovereignty of Syria and its people.

Pezeshkian said, according to media, that "we stress the necessity of preserving the unity and sovereignty of Syria and its people are the ones who decide the future of the country and its political system."

He added that "we stress the necessity of dialogue between the components of Syrian society to reach an understanding and we hope for the end of military confrontations."

"We hope that the great Syrian people will be able to decide their future away from violence and destructive foreign interventions."
Pezeshkian stressed "the importance of ensuring the safety of all citizens and residents and protecting religious and diplomatic sites in Syria."
He noted that "we condemn the Zionist entity's violation of Syrian lands and call on all parties and countries in the region to beware of its ambitions."
