PM: Throughout history, Iraq has been a center for various religions

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed, today, Friday, that Iraq represents a center for various religions throughout history.

The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received at his residence in the Spanish capital, Madrid, today, the head of the Spanish charity Messengers of Peace, Father Angel Garcia.".

The statement added that "al-Sudani stressed - during the meeting - the importance of the role played by clerics of different religions in consolidating coexistence and confronting hate speech, especially since Iraq represents a center for different religions throughout history, and that Iraqis have set the best examples of unity, coexistence and respect for others."

The statement indicated that "the meeting addressed the crimes committed by the Zionist entity for more than a year in Gaza and Lebanon, which have caused many victims and disrupted peace and security in the region and the world."
