JOC announces the discovery of 5 bodies of terrorists in Kirkuk

    The Joint Operations Command(JOC) announced on Saturday, the discovery of (5) bodies of terrorists as a result of yesterday's airstrikes in the Zgheitoun Valley within the Kirkuk Governorate sector.

    The Security Media Cell stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, to pursue and pressure the remnants of the defeated ISIS gangs, and in continuation of our statement yesterday, November 22, regarding the operation that came according to accurate information and qualitative effort from the men who gave courage its due in the Military Intelligence Directorate in coordination, cooperation and planning with the targeting cell in the Operations Command, a terrorist guest house was targeted in Wadi Zgheitoun within the Kirkuk Operations Sector by the heroic Air Falcons with F-16 aircraft."

    The statement pointed out that "at 500 a.m. on Saturday morning, a force from the 1st Regiment, 63rd Special Forces Brigade, and the 11th Division Reconnaissance Battalion of the Military Intelligence Directorate went out to search the site of the strike, as they worked to open a mobile force from the 11th Division."

     It added that "at 900 am, (5) bodies of terrorists were found inside a guest house as a result of the precise hit of the valiant Air Falcons, and (4) rifles and two explosive belts were also found, and they were destroyed under control, in addition to (6) different hand grenades, ammunition, communications equipment and other logistical materials inside this guest house."
