The Lebanese People Relief Cell affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain announced on Saturday that the cities of visitors, private hotels, Husseiniya and houses in Karbala have received more than 6000 people since the beginning of the aggression on Lebanon, indicating that housing, food and health care have been provided.
"There are 6232 Lebanese being hosted in the cities of visitors affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, as well as in private hotels that have been allocated in agreement with the Association of Hotels and Tourist Restaurants in Karbala, in addition to several Husseiniya and houses," said the member of the committee and head of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, Abdul Amir Taha, in a statement - posted by the official website of the shrine - followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Taha included, "This statistic is up until the end of Thursday, November 7th, 2024, and all the logistical services needed by the Lebanese families - guests of Iraq - have been provided. The services included providing housing, food, health care, and many other things."
"The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, by interpreting the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and its legal guardian, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, formed a crisis cell to provide relief to the Lebanese people, in addition to opening its doors to host the afflicted families in the cities of visitors and providing all the services they need, as he pointed out the launch of the medical and humanitarian relief campaign for the Lebanese people in compliance with the statement of the Supreme Religious Authority," he explained.
